Yea, I have seen this in many snake species. When they get no traction they side winde. However I have never witnessest my ball python doing that when he is on a smooth sirface. perhaps it just depends on the snake.
: A few moments ago when I was handeling my young 2-ft Royal Python I had set it down on my smooth desktop to type something up figuring it could't get far with no traction. To my surprise,it began side winding across the desktop!!!! Has this been observed before?
