Back in 82 I was camping out at Johnathan Dickenson State park in Jupiter Florida and I had a fascination for Gopher Tortioses at the time. I kept dreaming that I would walk up on a dozen or more. The next day I caught one in camp three on the road on my way to a connoe trip on the Loxahachee River. At the end of the trip we came upon a small Island where Trapper John had his camp before he died and I asked the park ranger if I could cath the largest Gopher Tortiose I've ever seen in my life. The park ranger was cool about it and all the tortioses were caught, admired, and released in the same erea. I was 12 yrs old at the time and since then I've never stopped dreaming productively about herps. Call me A DREAMER!
Happy Herping
