I have lived in Fl all my life when I was in Jr Hi
in the late sixties. I caught a small Indigo he was a great pet and was very easy to feed and I had him a couple of years until they made them illegal. I let him go when I read about the new law I didn't know anything about grandfather clauses.I also used to search the banks of the large drainage canals, mostly I would find banded water snakes and garter snakes.I would usually find a few FL kings a year. This was in the suburbs of a large city.
