Reach for one of them and you could pull back a nub. I like softshells though I think they are the fastest fresh water turtle they are.

If you mess with a big enough softshell turtle, you could come back with a nub from them too. They can be very mean just like snappers. They are alot harder to take care of than snappers too and would also require a large tank like snappers...
