:Michael-- 1) Add some non-iodized salt to the water. I have salt in all of my tanks, especially my softshell tanks. 2) Drop the PH. Adding sphagnum peat moss "tea bags" is a good way to do this. 3) Make sure there's a basking area that the turle can use. --Maxx
To add to what Maxx has said you can get Aquarium salt at the pet store (NOT MARINE SALT -- USE AQUARIUM SALT) Dosage 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons of water.
