Sorry to hear that, that happened with one of my cusin's hatchling turtles. He bought a plastic decor from the aquarium, it too was hollow on the inside, and the turtle gained access through digging a tunnel through the bottom. We found him later that day drowned in the water, unable to get back out. We now have a cave, with large openings on both sides for entrance and exit big enough for 3 hatchlings. Good luck.
