I once contacted the company about this. They said the rubbermaid melting point was well over 100 deg. It was years ago, and I can not remember the exact temp. I want to say it was closer to 200. Anyways, they said that it may turn brittle if exposed to extreme heat for prolonged heat, and threw in the disclaimer that they were not meant to house animals. My rubbermaids have lasted years with no damage.
