Hi, thanks for reading, and putting up with my "newbie" question..I have raised Florida Softshell Turtles "earlier" in my life, and have come across what the dealer calls a "Singapore Softshell". Dealer says it will grow about the size of my palm (8 inches or so). Dealer is unable to provide scientific name.. and would like to investigate further, before purchasing...
The turtle is probably 2 months old...grayish green in colour, with a red belly. Markings on the neck appear to be white. I have checked pictures of "Pelodiscus Sinensis", but am unable to confirm it is that species. The pictures I look at show the back to be much darker, even black looking...The one I see, appears grayish green..
Anyone have any hints? Or a site which shows young softshells?
Thanks in advance!!!
