Head bobbing

Today I noticed that my Florida Soft Shell hatchling has been bobbing his head. I was wondering if this is normal I know lizards bob their heads when they're old enough to mate but it's just a hatchling it's also not bobbing it's head hard and fast like a lizard would. Thanks!!!
