Yes, the vet did a sensitivity test. I guess it can adapt though to resist meds but he thinks this antibiotic will work.

The ph is around 6.5 and I put him out in the sun now and then. Otherwise he always has a light. I was just really surprised he even got sick. The husbandry is really good and I have another female softie I've had for over ten years and never had a problem with illness.
