P.S. I'm not aware of any states that protect them--yet. I also live in Minnesota and they are a species of concern but there is no legal protection--yet. You can take them (no limit) with a fishing license and you can harvest them commercially (no pound limit) with a commercial turtle trapping license that costs 70 bucks per year.
