Jennifer-- One final note...I think the guy probably wasn't lying to you and your Florida softshell, more than likely, did come from Lousianna. Some of the largest turtle farms in the U.S. are in Lousianna. I know for a fact that there are a couple of big softshell farms down there. And I don't know about the legality in your state but it may make more sense to farm them outside of Florida because they aren't an indiginous animal in Lousianna. Most states have laws and restrictions pertaining to animals that live in their state and only a few or none pretaining to ones that don't live there. --Maxx
