That's weird, I have a juvenile too and he recently started behaving the same way. Mine still has an appetite, but under careful examination it looks like he has a fungal infection. I can only tell when he is in the water, and it looks like he is shedding skin or something.

: My little Eastern Spiny softshell has recently been basking ALL the time. He rarely goes in the water anymore and also seems to be sleeping a lot. I am worried that this is a warning sign that he is sick. What, if anything, is wrong with him?
