Probably a Florida softshell. Can you tell me the exact location of that shop. I have been meaning to get down there and do a few rescues and last time I was down there could't find any. I feel so bad for these guys and have lots of room so I wouldn't mind taking a few in myself. Please do post a picture. Thanks Steve

: Does anyone know what kind of Softshell turtles they sell in Chinatown? I saw several seafood shops selling them and decided to get one and spare it's life . They were 7.99 per pound and I paid 8.00. I currently have several turtles and I am fairly familiar with US softshells. I can send a picture. The turtle was very clean and seems to be doing OK. I have him in a separate tank for observation.
