: i have a problem with my california kingsnake. it is 18in. long, as thick as my pinky finger, and it bites. This is nothing like mexican black king snakes, so i am wondering if i did something wrong or what?
: so can any one help me to teach me how to tame my snake? thanks.
First of all handle it carefully for short periods of time... 3-5 minutes. Keep it well fed and handle it 2 -4 days after feeding.
Remember be gentle and do this frequently. I am a teacher and use Ca. kings in my classroom it takes months to years to really tame
down a wild caught or seldom held snake.
