Hello Tony -

Well, I'm currently president of BAARS, so I guess that qualifies me as belonging. BAARS has been around a quite a while, and like many volunteer based organizations, has seen it's membership ranks rise and fall. Currently, we have a number of educational reptile shows scheduled and are looking for people who would like to participate. This is a great forum if you like interacting with the public, but realize the people might freak out if you brought your snake to the local park.

We also have camp-outs, guest-speakers, and a newsletter. BAARS has occasionally been accused of being "cliquish" in the past, but I can honestly that I don't think that's a problem in the present. If you want to get involved, we can certainly use the help. Please free free to drop by Cubberly Community Center (Room H-1) this May 25th (Fri) at 8:00PM. We'll be having a real informal meeting this month ('Bring your Pet Night') and it should be a lot of fun.

: Is there anyone using this board, who belongs to the Bay Area Amphibian and Reptile Society. Do you have any idea when the bazaar is going to be? Also, what do you think of the group?
