We used to have H.O.T.S. and the Great Lakes Herp society. HOTS died about 3 years ago. I am not sure about GLHS, but hear nothing about them anymore. Maybe we should see about starting one. There used to be a strong society on the west side of the state called Michigan Society of Herpetoculturists or something like that. If they are still around, maybe an eastern chapter could be started. Maybe if GLHS is still around we could bolster support for them. Finally, if these aren't possible, maybe a new society could be started. SE Michiganders let's hear from you. Don't you think we need a society? I'll check into this further. Feel free to e-mail me privately, too.
