Prominent herpetologist Sherman A. Minton, Jr., M.D. has died.
Author of Venom Diseases, Venomous Reptiles, Giant Reptiles, etc.
April (one of Sherman's daughters) advised me at 20:33 EST (6/15/99) that she had just been notified that Sherman had died. There will be no funeral. There will be a memorial in Indianapolis (see below). April said that Sherman wanted any memorials in his honor to go to the Nature Conservancy of Indiana.

Take I-65 into Indianapolis
Take I-465 around the east side of Indianapolis
Go west on 56th Street
After you pass Arlington Avenue watch for Channing Street (about 1 ½ blocks past Arlington)
The church is at the intersection of 56th Street and Channing Street (south side of 56th Street). Channing Street "T's" into 56th Street from the south.
