:I was just at my local Petsmart (Eden Prairie, MN- a suburb of Minneapolis, MN) picking up a few dozen rosies & a big bottle of Reptomin pellets....this cashier asks me if I have turtles...so I tell her what I have...then she tells me that she, too, has turtles....apparently her cousin in Chinatown gave her a couple turtles too. I then ask her what kind they are and she says they are called "longevity turtles".....they are currently the size of a quarter or even smaller & than they will remain that small forever and that their lifespan is only 4 yrs...... my question is: Am I on Mars?

i dont think there is such a turtle, lol
they might stay small but if they kept them in a small small enviroment, but still would be hard to stay that small without dieing sooner.maybe thats why they only live 4 years.
but even if kept in a small place and stayed alive it shell would kinda like grow upwards in a way, when i was about 10 a lady gave my a box turtle she got it from a baby and had it 2 years in a bucket it was about a quarted dollar size maybe alittle bigger, its shell was gowing upwards,
but maybe theres a new turtle but i dont think, lol
thanks
jess
