I've been doing some research into the licensed turtle farms in Louisiana. There are around 60 of these farms over there. Many of these farms hatch out tens of thousands of turtles annually. Most are sliders that they sell for $1-$3 each depending on quantity. A few of these farms also hatch out and sell alligator snappers. These people will hatch out a few weird color ones and sell 'em for the same price as the normal ones (as low as $8 each). I've found a few of these farms searching the net on google.com or bigyellow.com (Concordia Turtle Farm, K&E TF, Klieberts TF, Louisiana Cypress TF, Tangi TF, 4 T's TF, CH TF, Wilton J. Herbert TF, Hargers.com, P&J TF / turtlesellers.com, Strange Bros. TF, AC TF, Jolly & Jolly TF, Watson & Jolly TF, Black River TF). Most of these farms will sell various species of sliders, cooters, maps, common snappers, chickens, etc. for crazy prices ($1-$5 each). Never pay retail again.
