If they follow the general rule for common snappers, you can expect to get a 3% color variant distribution per 100 wild hatchlings. Some charge high amounts for these. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Contact a large breeder of these turtles and ask for any odd colored ones. I'm sure they get them.
:I might want to get a yellow/ gold phase female alligator snapper for one of my family members. How rare/ expensive are they? Anybody owned one?
