that turtle was a rescue. it was just about dead when i got it. an adult male snapper tried to make lunch out of him while they both lived in the same enclosure. when i brought him home some of his guts were hangin out and his eyes were so far sunk into his skull i didnt think he'd make it through the night. with alot of hard work and special attention, hes healthy as a horse and that chunk out of him now has regrown new bone and scutes.
