Me again...I have a few more points about excessive shell shedding. Overfeeding can cause this, as can fungal infections of the shell. both of these can be solved with updated husbandry techniques. Look at your feeding schedule, and your water quality. Make sure you are feeding your turtle a balanced diet...start with a good base, such as zoo meds aquatic turtle food. Its low proetein, and it gives your turtle the vitamins for proper shell growth (and shedding)
