3% to 5% in any given hatch. Some hatches are less than 1 percent. I do not keep clutches separate, and my percentages are based on hatches of 1,000 eggs.

:How common is it for a clutch of eggs to hatch out a yellow (leucistic as I`ve heard them refered to as) snapper, I live in Ct. and have never seen one remotely close to being light colored. Is it a genetic thing?
