hibernation

Maybe this is obvious...I don't know.
My juvenile snappers are fine in the basement tanks.
Should I simulate a winter and a hibernation?
I was just going to leave at the present temp and feed regular thru the winter. They are warm and doing great
Do they need to go thru a hibernation for some reason vital to health?
