Hey guys. We're starting to build a home in TN soon. I want the builder to include a 300 gallon aquarium for my large alligator snapper. What considerations do I need to think about? I can have it built into a deck so the overflow stuff drains into the yard but then the TN weather will require heating in the winter. I can have it built indoors but then there is greater risk of it leaks at any point. The house is 3 stories up built on the side of a very steep hill. The entry floor is the top floor with 2 levels below it. I know the balcanies are well supported becuase the builder puts big hot tubs on some of them (similar weight). I wonder how deep I should make it vs. surface area. What do you guys think is most important? I've toyed with 5' wide X 4' front to back X 2' depth. Or 5' wide X 3' front to back X 2.5' depth. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Kevin
