I have set up a temporary encloser for a alligator snapper using a plastic pool 5'across x about 1'deep.I plan on getting a 400 gal. stock tank,so I need to filter the pool for now,and be able to use the same filter on the stock tank.
A friend gave me a filter from a small above ground pool, but it got clogged.I think it is the wrong size filter in it,because the filter covers half the hole for the water to come up from the impeller. If I get the right filter it might still get clogged, because it has a 1" tube going in,and only
about a 1/2" hole where the water comes from the impeller.
I looked at some canister filters, but they are a little expensive, and I don't know if they would be able to filter the 400 gal. stock tank.I read some posts about pond filters, but I don't think they are made for large waste.
Anyone with large turtles, and tanks/tubs please give me some advice on filtration.
Thanks,
Jordan
