I've been putting some crawfish in my stock tank for my adult alligator snapper. A few of them have stayed alive for a while living in the large log I have in there. Last night I put two baby chickens in the tank. One of them sank and two giant red-eyed crawfish came out and clamped down on it. It was pretty wild they had a tug of war for about 3 minutes before the turtle came in and snagged it. I'm not sure if he grabbed either crawfish but I did see one of them get away. These crawfish are becoming mini-lobsters. They're pretty cool to watch at night because their eyes glow red when you shine the flashlight one them. Between the shiners, goldfish, crawfish and the giant turtle, its becoming an interesting little ecosystem to observe.
