A few months ago I posted about a friends snapper in a frozen pond. I thought the pond was only 24 inches deep but it was 32. The winter here in PA was the coldest in years. The pond froze enough that at 230lbs I could walk on it.Today I went for a visit, afraid to ask about the snapper but there he was! After being under ice for at least a full month. I know it happens in the wild all the time but with such a shallow pond and nothing but a liner I didn't think the outcome would be good. The snapper is about 18 inches and very heavy.
