I have had my snapper for 7 months, and found him at approx. 1", as a hatchling (brand new, yolk sack and egg tooth). He is now approx. 3" (carapace) and he's fat! Fat as mud! Awe, by cricky mate! He's a little ripper! (just had ta)
Realize he has grown 3x his original size in a tad over a half a year! I've kept a load of snappers over the years, and have never had one grow this fast!
I also caught (actually found) another, the same size (1" carapace), a month later, and she is only 2 1/2" carapace, and not nearly as fat as the other.
What's the deal? Is this how fast your guys' boys usually grow?
