I was surprised at the difference in my two COMMON snappers (from Minnesota - born 8/02) appetite with just a 8-15 degree water temperature change.....they went from over eating to periodically catching some dinner...my heater broke, so after redoing the setup, they had to wait a few days before I got them another heater...was very interesting. I can't wait until I get an Ally Snapper! I was going to get one this spring, but I am moving in August back to Madison, WI and am going to build several setups for my fascinating creatures...so I think I am going to wait for my commons to get a bit larger...although they are growing like weeds. This pic was taken about a month ago...the larger snapper is a little over 4 inches now...
