:It was a bit warmer today. My 60 lb. male was active so I ran to the store and bought some frozen chicks. I defrosted 3 and put them in his tank by his head. He didn't do anything. A few minutes later he movd away to a hiding spot. The chicks are still floating. Do they take a few hours before eating stuff like this? Will he eat once he knows I'm gone. I'm beginning to wonder if he has a jaw problem. He's never opened his mouth in defense or to feed since I go him. Eveb when he was booking it across the street and I ran up and grabbed him he didn't open his mouth. How about one of you guys come over and try to see if you can open it with your bare hands? Seriously though, I'm concerned that he has some kind of problem. If the chicks are gone in a few hours I'll figure he's okay.
