I'm going to be getting a stock tank for my common snapper within a week or two and I had a few questions on setting it up for him. First off, would a 150 gallon be enough for him when he's completely full size? He's kinda big now, shells around 8 inches. I beleve the dimensions for the 150 is around 4 1/2 feet long, 3 - 3 1/2 feet wide and 2 feet deep. Or would he need a 300 gallon? Thats the next size up the store near me has. I'm going to pt pea gravel on the bottum and maybe some drify wood. I have no idea what type of filter I should get though. I'd like to hear what everyone here would suggest. And if I put stuff like duck weed or other plants in there would the filter suck them up. And one more thing, lighting. I have a powersun bulb that i could use but I didn't know if that will have any effect on him if he's always under water. Sorry for all the questions but i'd really appreciate your suggestions. Thanks!
