:I have a common snapper that has not grown much more than an inch in the 3 years I`ve owned it. Is it possible that the person who I got it from didn`t properly care for it and stunted its growth? I have no idea of its age. It is about 6inches long (shell length). and is living in a 55gal. aquarium since day one, maybe its MY fault??

I have seen pics in reptile magazine with articles about turtles that have been stunted due to food or lack of Good lighting, etc.
