I work at a nature center with three large common snappers (~12 years old). Before they came to the center, they had a bout with scud. Ever since then,(10 years), they have had problems with big nasty growths on their faces and feet. The growths look like flesh colored broccoli. Samples were sent to a few labs, and the NC State lab said they had a granulomatous dermatitus. However, they did not tell us how to stop them. If they are cut off at the vet they grow right back. The quality of life of the turtles does not seem to be affected, so it is more of a cosmetic problem that bothers me more than it does the turtles. You guys have any idea of what to do? Any help would really be great. Thanks!
