Hello. It was requested that I make an announcement as CCA founder, on behalf of the unfortunate Corucia, being horribly kept and suffering in a pet store in Ontario, Canada. The girl below who goes as "Icequeen" first put this out on the forum, and we're grateful that someone cared enough to take a minute and bring this to our attention.
The CCA has been notified of the situation, but we have very few members in Canada, so it is difficult to get a plan together so far, to try and break this animal out. From Icequeen's description, it seems clear that this skink was illegally obtained. We would love to trace this back to the greedy supplier who is continuing to get these animals illegally, but for now, the it would make us happy just to rescue this poor, miserable creature.
If anyone lives near Ontario or has any connections which we could use to form a "breakout" plan, please contact me at haffpynt@yahoo.com. Icequeen, I'd love to hear more from you on the subject.
