UPS or Airborne Express to ship a baby boa, PLEASE HELP!

Hi,
I read some of the postings below. I live in New York, and UPS told me today that they could not ship out my baby boa to California.

Would I be able to use Airborne Express? It seems their regulations are unclear. I would GREATLY appreciate any help in this matter. I need to ship this boa in the next couple of days.
