For my Canadian import permit, it says,
"When transport by air, transportation of the animals is in accordance with the IATA Live Animals Regulations, approved by the Office International des Epizooties (OIE)." I emailed the Canadian government agents twice, but no responses.
I have checked out the IATA site and they want $50 or something like that for a copy. Forget that. Anyone know the regulations for shipping turtles according to IATA? I also checked out the OIE website, but counldn't make heads or tails about approval.
I know how to ship turtles, insulated box with stytrofoam and pack it with newspaper to avoid movement - heat pack if necessary - Turtle Homes method.
Thanks. :)
Cheers,
JJ
