legal coast to coast lizardshipping... is it possible?

I have never shipped or received a live animal as to date, but I plan to send an adult prehensile tailed skink from California to South Carolina soon. Is there a way for me to do this legally? It seems to me that Airborne express is the choice of many experts, is reptile shipping ok with them?

Also, what is the safest way to send a prehensile tailed skink? - if it depends on an animals anatomy and such, and you are unsure of what exactly a prehensile tailed skink is like, reply and I'll give you a run down.
