: I have shipped alot of snakes but never a bearded dragon,my question is, do I put it in a bag like the snakes or do I find a plastic container big enough for her to fit in,then box her with heat packs?just thought I would ask,I want her to arrive in good shape, shes going from the west coast to the east coast.
: Thanks
Hi, I ship dragons all over, here is how i do it, I put them in a box, or the large cheap plastic containers (like the zip lock ones) whichever fits best, allowing room for them to flip over, in case some brain dead person turns the box over...I drill holes in the inside box, pad it with paper towels for cushion, then put in a box that is insulated with 1/4" sheet insulation (get from home depot or hardware stores) and pack with peanuts (styrofoam). This time of year I don't do heat paks, I worry more about getting too hot. I ship with airborne express overnight, and they are delivered by noon the next day. I have had no problems. Mark the box live harmless reptile. And drill holes in the outside box for air, going all the way thru the insulation.
