Hey folks, I'm curious to get your opinions on what you feel is standard, polite communication regarding shipping arrangements.
For example, I've recently made plans to have some snakes shipped to me, and after negotiating the timeline & settling on a shipping date, the party sending the animals has not replied to any of my e-mails inquiring whether or not we're still on track to be shipping within the next few days. I'm not trying to drive this person crazy, but I do feel that some form of response would be appropriate.
Do you feel that it would be appropriate to receive an e-mail from the shipper the day before shipping to confirm that "all systems are go" so to speak, in addition to contact the day of shipping with tracking information, etc?
I'm certainly not new to the shipping game, but am starting to wonder if I've missed a current "trend" or two lately.
Just curious to hear some other perspectives on this...
Thanks!
KLG
