I'd say that starting such a company would be a real uphill battle. Not only would you need to set ups depots in every community that you served, but you'd need to either maintain a fleet of vehicles and a large staff, or you'd need to contract the shipping out to a very reliable company that is already well-established.

The other suggestion, of developing an approved container that would be accepted by a majority of currently active carriers, is a better idea.
