sanitizing styros (post fishies)

i just picked up some more styros for the expo and was wondering what kind of diseases (dead)fish carry, and also what is the best way to clean them up good enough for herps (the reptiles will not be in direct contact with the styrofoam)? i got the styros from the fish department at zehrs, they had been used for salmon, they were rinsed off before they were given to me, but they still stink some. tnax in advance.
