Need help regarding a possible reptile ban in my city.

The city I live in here in Southern California is looking into passing some type of ban reguarding exotic reptiles. So, I met with the city council member working on this and he is giving me a chance to give him some information that supports people's rights for keeping exotic reptiles. So, I was hoping some of you people here could maybe help me with this. I have gathered some things, but would like to get as much as I can.
