but I think in all likelihood your snake was sick. I have a rosy that often doesn't eat for months and he is healthy, although small. I have been hesitant to have snakes shipped to me for this exact reason. I try to find local breeders so that I can see before I buy.
Don't let this turn you off rosies. They're really great snakes. Just try to find someone locally.

:I recently wrote asking what to do about a rosy that won't eat. I found him dead today, just lying there in his hide spot. I don't know what caused this, maybe he was just too young to have been shipped all the way from NY our he was sick. I am very sad about my loss. Thank you to all who gave advice about how to try and get him to eat although he never did.
:Sadly,
