How often to offer food to a fasting rosy?

My Mexican rosy has been refusing food for about a week and a half.. I'm not particularly worried, but was wondering if I should continue to offer him food twice a week (which is how often I've been feeding him, because he's small and a notorious non-eater), once a week, or wait 2 weeks to a month and try again? I'm getting rat pinkies in today, so I'm hoping once he does start eating again, I'll be able to get a growth spurt out of him.
