Then I've heard that you don't do anything. I'm kind of confused here. I've had one 'breeding' (without any special measures) but no pregnancies so far.

I've heard methodologies of both. My first 3 litters were with just normal temperatures. Even then, during the winter, the room temps would drop down a few degrees. Now I bring them down about 2 degrees on their hot spt and the front will still come down a few degrees naturally. I do that from December to January then bring their temps back up in February.
I have in the past remember having babies in April and I remember having babies in November, so it does vary quite often :)
