Brian, I have worked with sand boas for over 10 yrs. Although most of my experience is with kenyans...( I have succesfully bred kenyans 10-12 different times) I have raised many different baby sand boas. Most kenyans all feed about the same until they reach an age of 9-10 months. ( there are exceptions to the rule) After that time, in my opinion and based on my snakes, the males tend to slow down while the females continue or in most cases, increase, their feedings. I have also noticed that some males that dont breed( either not sexually active or just not breeders) tend to eat a lot more than sexually active, breeder males. Hope the info helps........Ken
