a crested gecko with a missing tail.

We had ordered a crested gecko from our local supplier and he tells me that it has arrived with the tail missing. Now I don't have a problem with taking it like that but I want to know what potential problems I should be looking for, if any - i know they quite often drop them in the wild. He orders them from the British Herpetology Society and they told him that it was caused by a fight in the tank.

What should I be looking out for?
