Yes, Look up!! Crested naturally feel safer in high places or in dark corners. Try to get inside your gecko's head. Where does he usually hide in his terrarium?? Under a hide?? or under leaves?? Check plants and under pillows/bed sheets. Maybe under a dresser (That's were mine goes). On night you will find him roaming around. I wouldn't worry about it to much, unless you have curious cats. :(
